Hospital Bag Checklist for Delivery
Pack Early, Stay Calm – Your Ready-to-Go Guide

Labour can start anytime after 37 weeks – having your bag packed by 36–37 weeks means one less thing to worry about. This simple checklist covers essentials for mum, baby, and your birth partner, so you can focus on welcoming your little one.

When to Pack & How to Prepare

Double-check with
your hospital

(e.g., in Kuching or Sarawak private / public facilities) – many provide diapers, newborn hats, blankets, and basic toiletries, so you can travel lighter.

The best time to pack is around 36–37 weeks – labour can surprise you early, and you’ll feel more relaxed knowing everything’s ready.

Pack one main bag for mum and baby, plus a small one for your partner. Keep it easily accessible (by the door or in the car boot). Tell your partner exactly where it is – they might grab it while you head to hospital.
